De-Odorizing that B.O.

It came to my attention as of today that I give off a distinct body odor. In other words, I stink. It’s pretty shameful, yes. I, for one, tried to pride myself on keeping myself clean and fresh.

I’ve been off of fragrance heavy soaps and deodorants for years now. It seemed like everything was fine, but it seems like it was too harsh for the people in the elevator. I felt bad for them because I’ve been around people who’ve stunk before. They’re called “gamers.”

Not all gamers smell terrible, but I’ve been to a number of gaming stores and there’s always that handful of people who are surrounded by the stink cloud.

It’s funny to think that I am a gamer myself–I’m not a hardcore gamer as I once was when I was 15 years old. However, I consider myself a gamer nonetheless. I still play video games where I can and I’ve been regularly playing table-top games such as D&D.

Now I’m exemplary of that stinky gamer characteristic. I’m shaking my head at myself as I type this.

I did what anyone else would do in such a mortifying situations; I went home and took care of it. Took a shower, and after learning about this armpit hair I ended shaving them. I haven’t shaved my armpits since I was 14 year old. To think I haven’t shaved my armpits in the last 20 years puts a lot of things in perspective for me, HAH!

Shaving off the armpit hair does make a difference in terms of the smell. Also, they’re pretty itchy.

After work today, I went to the store and bought lightly fragrant deodorant and Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap (peppermint style). I’m changing up my au naturale-ness lifestyle! I don’t want people to suffer in an elevator because of me–I won’t stand for it!

I’ll still be cognizant on what kind of product I put on my body while searching for the balance so it covers up that body odor.

Stay clean everyone!
